Cub Scouting: A Family Program

Scouting is a family- and neighborhood-based program, with a goal of helping each parent with their son’s development of strong values and a healthy mind and body. It provides a positive way for a parent and son to grow closer together.

With more than 4 million youth members, the Boy Scouts of America is one of the most popular youth-serving organizations. Boys join Scouting for one primary reason-to have fun! While boys have great experiences in Scouting, they do much more than have fun. Boys who are Scouts learn lessons about life, and the value of being a responsible person of character and integrity. These lessons come through spending significant time and sharing experiences with families, Scout leaders, and fellow Scouts.
